Session 07 - 24/05/18

Lesson Aim:
Work on A2T1 and A2T2, and resubmissions for A1
Design and create a 3D object from scratch. 
Introduce Assignment Three
Outline your specific scene ideas for use in A2 and A3

Learning Objectives:
Demonstrate the basics of interaction and modeling with Blender
Design and create a 3D model in Blender
Formulate and research possible ideas for A2
Identify steps required to complete A3
Give objective and constructive peer feedback


Today a strength has been making my own IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) in blender using reference photos and new skills.

Today a weakness has been forgetting my earphones so I have had to wear headphones instead that have crushed my ears.

Today I have learnt how to use the mirror tool in blender to make the wheels of my IFV.

I think that today has been good as I have been able to develop my skills in blender.

Aim:To be able to generate ideas for digital graphics for an interactive media project

Outcome:
Explain the importance of designs
Create a suitable design brief for a stated client
State what legal and ethical considerations need to be considered when creating interactive media products
To understand the importance of design tools
To use design tools (moodboard, mindmap, sketches) to start to design interactive media products for a stated client


Today a strength has been working on my designs for U35 A2T2 and doing creative research.

Today a weakness has been getting distracted by YouTube.

I have learnt how to make a mind map and mood board look good today

I think that today has gone well since I have been able to work on assignments set and get help from John

Use a SQL commands to interrogate a multi table database
Present information in a suitable way


Learning Outcomes (what the learner will be able to do)

Import data to DBBrowser
Export data from DBBrowser
Identify how data may be suitable, accurate and relevant
Refine the search using the WHERE command
Use logical operators to be more selective in SQL
Identify specific data from multiple tables as requested
Reformat a field in a table
Identify valid but inaccurate data
Interrogate edit large sets of data to present useable information
Interrogate large sets of data to present accurate, valid and usable information

Today I have learnt how to search for duplicate data in DB browser using SQLite.

Today a strength has been understanding how to use SQLite to complete a task.

Today a weakness has been coming in 30 minutes late as I woke up late.

I think that today has been good as I have been able to work on tasks that have been set today.

Aim: To be able to generate ideas for digital graphics for an interactive media project

Write detailed and clear reasoned article about the use of different colour spaces, optimisation and applications including suitable images (A1) 
To be able to state what a design brief is
To be able to create a suitable design brief for a stated client
To be able to state what legal and ethical considerations need to be considered when creating interactive media products
To know the importance of legal and ethical issues when creating interactive media products


Today a strength has been handing in 3 assignments this is good as I can focus on other pieces of work now.

Today a weakness has been getting distracted by YouTube and other forms of media.

Today I have learnt that HSV stands for Hue, Saturation and Value .


I think that today has been good as I have been able to work effectively.

Today a weakness has been getting distracted by work that is late and I have been trying to get that complete.

I think that today has been good as I have been able to use SQLite effectively.


I think to improve my health I should go back on a ketosis diet. This is a high fat low carb diet and I have used it before, I did lose weight but then I started to eat pizza and things when I was drinking.

Today I have learnt how to make hair in blender.

Today a strength has been being focused on the work, including U41 A1T1, U41 A1T2 and the blender challenge.

A weakness has been deleting my model in blender multiple times so I did not have enough time left to make my model good.

I think that today has gone relatively well since I was able to improve my blender skills including how to make hair.
