Clearly explain, with examples how a scripting language can improve functionality
Correctly structure JavaScript when creating code containing prompts, confirm and alert messages.
Create a web page with a JavaScript order form

Today a strength today has been getting my JavaScript to work.

Today a weakness has been not being able to help Kyle to turn a sentence into an image when hovered over.

Today I have learnt how to use rollover on images to make a new image appear and make it bigger.

Today has been good as I have been able to learn more about JavaScript.

Express numbers using binary, hexadecimal, Binary Coded Decimals (BCD)
Work on outstanding tasks
Have the technical skills to be able to complete all of A1
Identify open loop systems
Identify closed loop systems
Explain in detail number systems, logic, logic operators and data types
Be able to convert numbers between key numbering systems

Say why feedback systems are better than open loop systems
Give an example of proportional control
Work independently
Ask for help if needed after looking for alternatives

Today I have learnt that Finland has the best education system in the world due to free daycare from 8 months to 5 years where the children are taught through playing and makes it so the children are ready to start learning when they reach the age of 6. Finland also do a lot more things which makes there education system great.

A strength today has been learning about the Finish education system. Another strengths has been understanding how dyslexic people can struggle to read.

A weakness today has been not making good targets on my personal development plan. Next time I set a target I will not have it about handing in work and instead about improving a skill.

Today has been good as I have learnt a lot and also get to go home early :).

Assignments due: U24 A1T2 10/10/2017, U24 A1T3 17/ 10/ 2017, U14 A1T1 10/10/2017, U20 A2T1 10/10/2017.

Lesson 4: 28/09/17

Lesson Aim:
Introduce Assignment 1
Research necessary information for A1T1
Develop working knowledge of the LEGO sensors

Learning Outcomes:
Conduct research and use notes to work toward completing A1T1
Conduct research and use notes to work toward completing A1T2
Conduct research and use notes to work toward completing A1T3
Understand the use of control structures in nXc code.
Implement code and demonstrate usage of Sound and touch sensors
As above, as well as for the ultrasonic and infrared/light sensors.
Create a program that utilises a number of sensors and reacts to each accordingly.
Discuss/Design the look and functionality of your LEGO Robot

Learning Objectives:
Continue working on Assignment 1 Task 1
Implement sensors and develop controlling code for the LEGO robot.
Develop knowledge of how to implement each sensor on the LEGO robot
Demonstrate your design for the LEGO robot

In this lesson you will be completing A1T2 - Test on matrix operations

Aim: Be able to solve simultaneous equations algebraically

Objectives:
Perform operations on matrices
Solve simultaneous equations by subtraction
Be confident applying operations to matrices
Complete A1T2 on matrix operations
Be able to solve simultaneous equations
Check answers by substitution

Today I have learnt how to build a LEGO robot. I have also recapped on simultaneous equations.

Today a strength has been building a LEGO robot that could use 4 wheel drive and 4 sensors. Another strength has been remembering how to apply operations to matrices.

Today a weakness has been not being able to code the LEGO robot. Another weakness not effectively explaining simultaneous equations to my peers.

Today has been okay as I think I did well on the maths assignment and had fun with robots.

Assignments due: U14 A1T2 19/10/2017; U14 A1T23 19/10/2017; A24 A1T3 17/10/2017.

Aims and Objectives 29/09/17
Aims: Understand the fundamentals of scripting languages
Structure some JavaScript

Objectives:
Clearly explain JavaScript constructs, with examples
Discuss, using examples, how a scripting language can improve functionality
Correctly structure JavaScript when creating code containing loops, decision making and functions

Today a strength has been almost completing U20_A2T1.

Today A weakness has been that I had a hangover at the beginning of the day.

Today has been ok as I have been able to work nicely.

Assignments due: U20_A2T1.10/10/2017; U24 A1T3 17/10/2017; A24 A1T2 10/10/2017; U14 A1T1 10/10/2017

What is the purpose of marketing?
What is a gender stereotype?
How are gender stereotypes used in the marketing of toys?
How does the use of gender in marketing limit children’s options?
What responsibilities do toy companies have to be inclusive?

Lesson Aim:
To describe how data can be represented in control systems

Learning Outcomes (what the learner will be able to do)

Express numbers using some of: binary, hexadecimal, Binary Coded Decimals (BCD), ASCII
Identify explain some data types
Work on outstanding tasks
Have the technical skills to be able to complete all of A1
Explain what microcontrollers are
Explain in detail number systems, logic, logic operators and data types
Be able to convert numbers between key numbering systems

Learning Objectives (skills, knowledge & attitudes)

Express numbers using some of: binary, hexadecimal, Binary Coded Decimal, ASCII
Select suitable data types for a given situation
Work independently
Ask for help if needed after looking for alternatives

Today a strength has been getting most of the questions right on binary and hex.

Today a weakness has been explaing gender stereotyping.

Today I have learnt more about DAC (Digital to Analogue Conversion) and ADC (analogue Digital Conversion).

Gender stereotyping is when marketing company use pink for girls and blue for boys and also uses one gender on packaging.

Lesson 3: 21/09/17

Lesson Aim:
Research necessary information for A1T1
Develop working knowledge of the LEGO sensors

Learning Outcomes:
Begin working on Assignment 1 Task 1
Implement each sensor individually on the LEGO robot.

Identify and explain Time Driven EDP
Identify and explain at least one example of a possible event in EDP
Identify and explain the use of Trigger Functions in EDP
Develop knowledge of how to implement each sensor on the LEGO robot

Today one of my strengths has been working with William to make a four wheel drive robot that can react to obstacles in front.

Today one of my weaknesses has been the robot kept falling apart.

Today I have learnt how to use the light sensor on the robot.

Today has been fun as we got to play with robots. :)

Aims and Objectives 20/09/17
Aim: To understand the characteristics and features of scripting languages
Objectives:
Explain some characteristics of scripting languages
Explain a variety of features of scripting languages including constructs
Complete JavaScript practical exercises

Today a strength has been coding in JavaScript.

Today I could not think of a weakness.

Today I have learnt how to make a clock that changes the background colour using JavaScript.

I have a Re-submission U20_A1 on the 02/10/2017, also U20_A2T1 due for the 10/10/2017.

Today has been good as I have been able to learn a lot about JavaScript.
