    Session 1 - 29/03/2018

Lesson Aim:
To introduce learners to U41, the assessment and how achievable grades
To begin familiarisation with the required software for the Unit, Blender.
To assess the use of 3D modelling in industry, including types of software and file formats
To introduce Assignment One

Learning Outcomes: 
Explain how the unit is assessed 
Interact with the viewport in Blender 
Add and remove 3D objects from the Blender scene
Modify a 3D Object in Blender
Create a 3D object from scratch in Blender
Explain the differences between transformation methods in 3D space

Learning Objectives: 
Evaluate the requirements for U41
Demonstrate the basics of interaction and modeling with Blender
Explain the basics of interaction in 3D space

Today a strength has been relearning the basics of blender, I have done this by watching YouTube videos and by trying out the software myself. Another strength has been understanding how standard deviation is calculated.

A weakness has been forgetting to save my progress in blender, tho I did not do a lot. Today a weakness has been needing an extension for the first time in a long time.

Today I have learnt the basics of blender. I have also learnt how to calculate the variance and standard deviation of some data.

I think that today has been good as I have not been distracted and I have been focused on the tasks set. Also I have been able to work effectively in the second half of the day plus we get to go home early.

Aims:To be able to design and implement a procedure to preserve data integrity during an upgrade
To be able to design procedures for an installing and upgrade
Outcomes:
State the importance of preparing for a software upgrade or installation
Create a templates for a range of backup procedures
Implement a range of backup procedures
List the steps required for the installation of named software
List the steps required for the installation of a named anti-virus software
Create a templates for a range of backup procedures


Today a strength has been almost completing U29 A3T1 and working well with William.

Today a weakness has been distracting Ruaridh and getting distracted by Ruaridh.

Today I have learnt that to own a shotgun with an ammo capacity of 4 or more the person
 needs a section 1 firearms licence.

Today has been good as I got work done and it is a half day.

Today I have learnt how Cambridge analytica gathered information and stored it illegally.

Session 22 - 22/03/18

Lesson Aim:
Identify current completion of A3, what is required to complete T4
To complete A3T4 to a good standard
To complete the end of unit survey for U14
To begin looking at software for the next unit (U41)

Today a strength has been working with little distraction to others, I have also not been totally distracted by YouTube. Another strength has been making my histogram and calculating the interquartile range.

A weakness today has been missing out important parts of my flow chart so I now have to edit them. Another weakness has been distracting Kyle as I sat behind him for the second half of the day.

Today I have learnt that 7 people in the class sleep between 5 - 6 hours on average a night. I have also learnt how to make a histogram.

I think that today has been good so far as I have been able to work effectively without major distraction. Also I have been able to play Surviv.io in my break and come 2nd.

Aims and Outcomes 21/03/18
Aim: To be able to understand the requirements in preparing for a software installation and upgrading

Objectives:
State the importance of preparing for a software upgrade or installation
Create a flow chart to show the steps that need to be taken before and after an upgrade/installation
Explain the steps required in a software upgrade or installation for home and business users

Today I have learnt Brain-computer interface research started in the 1970's and in the 1990's the first use for this research was invented. I have also learnt the steps to take before and after installing software.

My strength today has been working well in a group to create a flow chart about the steps to take before and after installing software. Another strength has been focusing on my work and not distracting others.

My weakness today has been making mistakes on my work that I have had to correct.

Today has been good as I have been able to work in a group and complete a lot of my work.

Today a strength has been contributing in a group to make a powerpoint about how Tesco uses information systems. 

Today a weakness has been getting distracted by Ruaridh and distracting Ruaridh.

Today I have learnt how Tesco uses its club cards to record information about individuals and then make decisions using the information collected.

Today has been good as I have learnt a lot about information systems as well as being able to hand in two resubmissions.

Today a strength has been handing 2 assignments reducing the amount of work that I will have to do in the future. Another strength today is be able to make my stem and leaf diagram.

Today a weakness has been getting distracted by YouTube because I am getting bored easily. Another weakness has been having to rewrite peoples data because everyone answered differently.

Today I have learnt that 6 people in the class sleep for 5-6 hours on average a night. I have also learnt how to make a stem and leaf diagram.

Today has been good as I have been able to complete 2 assignments and I get pizza. I have also been able to make progress on the maths unit.

Today a strength has been making my robot work well enough to get around the track and spin around. Another strength has been thinking of questions for my hypothesis.

Today a weakness has been not having good obstacle avoidance, the robot could not make it around the box and then lost the line. I also haven't finished my survey.

Today I have learnt that I should spend more time on objectives I have not met rather than make the objectives I have met better. I have also learnt that a hypothesis is a statement and not a question.

Today has been good as I did not do to badly on the robot test and I have been able to do a lot of work in the maths lesson.
