Lesson Aim:
Explain how EDP is used outside of applications utilising GUIs
Further develop research skills
Work towards completion of T1/T2/T3
Develop understanding of LEGO Robot programming and design
Learning Outcomes:
Perform research on the use of EDP outside of GUI driven applications
Construct arguments for the evidence you have found
Create a presentation to feedback your findings to the class
Conduct research and use notes to work toward completing A1T1
Conduct research and use notes to work toward completing A1T2
Conduct research and use notes to work toward completing A1T3
Continue development of code to control the LEGO Robots
Continue assessing design ideas for the LEGO Robots for suitability in further assignments
Learning Objectives:
Explain how GUI-less applications can use EDP
Continue researching and working on Assignment 1 T1/T2/T3
Develop knowledge of how to code LEGO Robots
Create a functional design of the LEGO Robot
Be able to add, subtract and multiply matrices confidently.
Recognise the Identity and a transpose matrix.
Recall how to find the inverse of a matrix.
Practice solving simultaneous equations using matrix methods.
Explore matrix transformations.
Recognise different transformation matrices.
Today I have learnt some matrix transformations.
` Today a strength has been getting the ultrasonic and touch sensor to work on our Lego robot. Another strength has been being able to remember how to work out simultaneous equations using matrices.
A weakness today has been trying to use the wrong input for the touch sensor this took some time to figure out. Another weakness has been drawing inaccurate graphs which made it harder later on.
Today has been OK as we have made progress with out robot and I have learnt how to transform matrices.
An example of a trigger event is pushing two buttons on a vending machine to enter the coordinate of an item then pushing the enter button to confirm the choice.
Assignments due: U24 A1T3 17/ 10/ 2017, U14 A2T2 17/10/2017, U24 A2T1 07/11/2017, U20 A3T1 31/11/2017
